Preventative Care

Why is prevention important?

As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. If we can prevent decay and gum disease from ever occurring, your teeth should last you a lifetime. At Beck Family Dental, we are committed to helping you maintain good oral health and believe that the best dentistry is helping to prevent problems in the future. We will work with you to do everything possible to maintain the strength and beauty of your own natural teeth. Regular and timely dental treatment improves and maintains good oral health, reduces long-term costs, and improves the longevity, comfort, and beauty of your teeth.

What types of prevention are available?

Regular brushing, flossing, professional cleanings, fluoride treatments, and checkups go a long way to improving and preserving your oral health. If you have a history of significant decay, we can provide additional treatment options including fluoride trays and prescription strength tooth paste. During a cleaning and exam. We demonstrate proper brushing and flossing techniques to help you improve your own ability to care for your teeth at home.

What if I need more than prevention?

Many patients delay treatment because they feel bad that their teeth are already in bad shape and may feel embarrassed. There are many reasons why your oral health may not be as good as you would like. We at Beck Family Dental are not here to judge you, we are here to help you. We will help you decide on a treatment plan that begins where you are and helps you get to where you want to be. Whether you have a single tooth or a whole mouth in need of treatment, we can help get your teeth healthy, pain free, strong, and beautiful.
